Domestic

We both lie
on the mattress
or on each other.
Our skin tightly
pressed, but
not the body.
We both know
good and bad
days, because
these are just
two topics we
often talked
about: when
are you leaving?
or do you mind
turning-off the
music? because...
it’s a rule we
do not speak,
we let silence
take-over, we
 
let lies cross-
over onto
 
us.

Thirdy Japsay is currently finishing his Master of Arts in Literary and Cultural Studies in Ateneo De Manila University. He is a digital nomad working as a freelance artist, literally everywhere with wi-fi.
