Sitting on My Program

​Curtains now come apart, but only a little bit,
you’re golden tonight, is it the sunset or the fabric?
 
Here come your feet, legs in hose, a shoulder,
proof I’m not alone, even with no new faces to look at
 
Against the window there might be a mirror,
the drapes block the reflection from me, it’s all yours
 
Maybe the world below sees more of you there,
though no one views you like I do, from your bed
 
Nevertheless, I repeat, all that I can see is golden,
good work, sharing the light in front of you with me
