Carl Hicks is an author, musician and a radio host. Here is a part of our interview with him. To check out the author interview, click HERE! How did you come up with the idea for your podcast? It was something that someone else brought to my attention. After a while just like with the books I had been reading I felt I can do it as well, but in my own way; the way I feel it should be done. Tell us a little bit about your inspiration and philosophy regarding the podcast. For the podcast the idea came about because I am the type of person that likes to get to know a person, and not just a character that’s behind a computer. I want to know the real person and not the person who they’re portraying to be. Check out '#unSCRIPTED' HERE "Once again please lend us an hour of time and your supportive attemtion as we; Carl and Dough UNscripts J.C.. No not that JC, but J.C. Presley; the Author. We'll dig into his catalogue of Self published novels such as Memoirs of a fatherless child, a title I myself can relate to. Anyway please tune in because this will be another episode not to be missed because it will most definitley be unfiltered, real, and of course #UNscripted." You can find his music HERE Carl Hicks hails from D.C. Though he always had a love for writing, he found the time and discipline to do so in a jail cell when he was sentenced to 5 years in prison for armed robbery. After being assaulted and comatose for two months, he was medically paroled with all of his belongings being shipped home. His debut novel, “I do it for the Love of it” was among those things. He briefly contemplated self-publishing the title but found a home with the PenBullies family. With his lyrical ability combined, he hopes to entice his readers with his way of words.
