General Information

We are excited to invite contributions for our upcoming issue on "Digital Artivism: Unveiling the Power of Creativity for Social Change" in The Paradox Cult Crit Zine. As we explore the intersection of art and activism in the digital age, we welcome diverse perspectives that shed light on the transformative potential of creative expression.

Submission Deadlines:
  • Abstract Submission: May 15, 2024
  • Full Paper Submission: August 1, 2024


General Guidelines:
  1. Abstract Submission: Authors are requested to submit an abstract of their proposed paper by May 15, 2024. The abstract should provide a concise overview of the intended topic, approach, and key points to be explored in the paper.
  2. Full Paper Submission: Upon acceptance of the abstract, authors will be invited to submit the first draft of the full paper by August 1, 2024. The paper should delve into the chosen topic of digital artivism, offering in-depth analysis and insights.
  3. Length of Articles: Submissions should not exceed 5 pages, including references, images, and any supplementary material. Concise, focused contributions are encouraged.
  4. Formatting: Please format your submission according to  MLA guidelines.
  5. Originality: Submissions must be original work that has not been previously published or submitted elsewhere.
  6. Images and Multimedia: Authors are encouraged to include relevant images, illustrations, and multimedia elements that support and enhance their analysis.
Submission Process:
  1. Authors are requested to send their abstracts to THE EDITORIAL TEAM by the deadline of May 15, 2024. Please include "Digital Artivism Abstract Submission" in the subject line.
  2. Upon acceptance of the abstract, authors will receive further instructions for submitting the full paper.
  3. The full paper should be sent to us by the deadline of August 1, 2024. ​Please include "Digital Artivism Full Paper Submission" in the subject line.​

Review and Publication:
First, all submissions will undergo a thorough review process by our editorial team. If your abstract is chosen, your concept and, later, your findings will also be discussed in two separate online meetings next year (date and time will be shared as soon as possible), as part of a workshop. You will then be asked to peer-review two finished texts, which are ready for publication, and give your honest opinion in the form of an anonymous written review which the editorial team as well as the author will read. 

Authors will be notified about the acceptance of their abstracts and full papers. Selected papers will be included in our upcoming issue dedicated to "Digital Artivism."

Submission Instructions
We invite you to contribute your unique perspective to The Paradox Cult Crit Zine's exploration of culture, criticism, and philosophy. If you're passionate about unraveling enigmatic paradoxes and challenging prevailing notions, we welcome your personal essays.

Guidelines:
  1. Theme Relevance: Ensure your topic aligns with the theme as described HERE exploring the complexities of contemporary society.
  2. Originality: Submit original work that has not been previously published.
  3. Length:
  • Personal Essays: 800 to 1200 words  
  • Intellectual Explorations: 1500 - 2500 words
  • Opinion Pieces: 800 - 1200 words
  • Research Papers: ​2000 - 4000 words
 
  1. Engaging Content: Craft insightful narratives that provoke thought, question assumptions, and offer fresh viewpoints.
  2. Clarity: Express your ideas clearly, and provide context where necessary.
  3. Formatting: Format your essay according to MLA guidelines.

Submission Process:
  1. Send your personal essay with the subject line "Personal Essay Submission - The Paradox Cult Crit Zine."
  2. Include your full name, contact information, and a brief bio in your submission email.
  3. In the body of the email, provide a short summary or introduction of your personal essay.
  4. Attach your essay in .doc Word format.

Review Process:
After an initial review by our editorial team, you will receive feedback and further instructions.

Deadline:
Submit your abstract by  May 15TH 2023 to be considered for our upcoming issue.

We invite you to infuse our exploration of culture, criticism, and philosophy with your artistic perspective.
If you're passionate about using visual creativity to challenge norms and evoke emotions, we welcome your artwork submissions.

Submission Process:

Include your full name, contact information, and a brief artist's statement in the submission email.
